Another feature of the reel which boasts improvement from the RA model is the new hybrid body. This is not only lighter in weight but it is also significantly more durable than the material used in the original model. Having a strong and tension resistant reel body is vital to the longevity of the reels performance and this is one top end reel which can last the distance on the bank. This reel comes with a spare cold forged aluminium spool as standard – a material that is used in the main spool, too, because of its strength and durability. It is fitted with four shielded stainless steel bearings as well as one additional roller bearing. This ensures that the Shimano Baitrunner XT RB is an exceptionally smooth operating reel and it can more than comfortably withstand the strains and tensions of a large and hard fighting carp.
